Welcome to Anand’s Journey

Hello, and welcome.

I'm Anand, a massage therapist and massage teacher based in North Wales, teaching courses in North Wales, Lincoln, and Switzerland.

I was raised in a holistic Indian family where caring for others through touch was simply a way of life. Massage, natural therapies, and a deep respect for the body's innate wisdom were woven into my upbringing from an early age. These experiences planted the seeds for what would become a lifelong passion.

Before entering healthcare, I trained in a range of holistic therapies including Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, and energy-based healing practices. I was fascinated by the way the body, mind, emotions, and energy all influence one another.

Later, I spent four years training to become a nurse. The experience gave me valuable insight into healthcare and deepened my appreciation for caring for people during vulnerable times. Yet throughout my training, I felt a quiet calling back towards holistic therapies.

For me, holistic work has always felt like the most natural and meaningful way to support the wonderful people who cross my path. It allows me to care for the whole person, not simply a symptom or condition.

Today, my greatest passion is teaching.

While I teach practical massage skills and techniques, what truly lights me up is helping people develop trust in themselves.

Many students begin their journey believing they need to memorise every movement or perform massage perfectly. I encourage something different: learning to listen, to slow down, and to trust their own experience.

My teaching is centred around intuition, presence, and self-compassion. I guide students to develop a kinder relationship with themselves, soften their inner critic, and become more aware of the wisdom already present within them.

As students become more relaxed and confident, they often discover that massage is not something they have to force. Their hands begin to move naturally. Creativity emerges. They learn to respond to the breath, the body, and the unique needs of the person in front of them.

I also enjoy sharing practices that help students cultivate healthy energetic awareness, remain grounded, and maintain clear boundaries while caring for others. Learning how to stay centred and connected to yourself can be just as important as learning physical techniques.

For me, massage is far more than a set of skills. It is a practice of presence.

When we become deeply present, touch becomes a conversation rather than a technique. We learn to work with sensitivity, compassion, and genuine care. In these moments, massage can feel deeply meditative for both practitioner and client.

Again and again, I see students leave not only with new practical skills, but with greater confidence, self-trust, and a deeper connection to themselves.

I believe it is a privilege to be welcomed into another person's healing journey, and an honour to teach others how to offer that same care.

Thank you for being here. I look forward to meeting you on a course and sharing this beautiful work together.

With warmth,

Anand
